About our Travel and Medical Insurance

This travel and medical insurance policy is designed to cater for the insurance needs of persons studying in the UK. The product provides cover including emergency medical assistance and medical costs, protection in the event of cancellation or curtailment, and cover for loss, theft of or damage to baggage and personal money.

Key features and benefits:

▣ A 24-hour helpline for medical emergencies

▣ Emergency medical expenses in the event of illness or injury

▣ Protection against cancellation or curtailment charges, including irrecoverable tuition and accommodation costs

▣ Cover for a delayed or missed departure

▣ Cover for delay, loss or damage to baggage or personal money or travel documents

▣ COVID-19 medical treatments coverage

▣ Digital Doctor Telemedicine (DDT): A complimentary 24/7 medical doctor telephonic and video support service provided in multiple languages

▣ Cover for leisure trips outside the UK and home country up to 21 days per holiday, which begins and ends within the period of insurance

▣ If your visa is refused for reasons beyond your control, you may also be eligible to claim a refund on your unused travel, tuition, and accommodation costs

Key eligibility criteria and exclusions:

▣ The insured person must be an international student or an immediate family member/a group leader accompanying them on the same trip.

▣ Not available to anyone aged 75 or older on the start date of the insurance coverage

▣ No cover for sports unless referenced as being covered under the policy section entitled sports and activities

▣ There is no cover for any existing medical condition(s) not listed in the list of acceptable medical conditions
